Eboné M. Bishop
Eboné is an international corporate attorney practicing in the areas of commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance with additional experience with high profile international investigations and crisis management matters. She has worked with multinational companies in the financial services industry, fashion, extractives, media and entertainment. Eboné gained unparalleled frontier and emerging market experience while living and working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as an Associate with the Chambers and Legal 500 ranked premiere law firm, MahoneyLiotta LLP. There, her practice centered primarily on commercial transactions, acquisitions and market entry due diligence, risk analysis and cross border compliance primarily related to the mining sector for Fortune Global 500 companies and high profile institutional investors.
In addition to Eboné’s robust legal experience, she is an astute facilitator of the Getting to Yes process. That is, she is able to bring together diverse and disparate stakeholders engaged in and affected by each transaction, create a common language and framework, manage expectations and move all parties to achieve the desired transaction goals. Through her diverse professional experiences, she has honed the ability to accurately identify and assess both overt and subtle issues and understand the interplay between law, governmental policy considerations and local and global economic trends, which many times are critical elements to a comprehensive analysis necessary to craft strategies that address the specific needs of each client. She is adept at mastering information, identifying and assessing risk and devising mechanisms to address and manage such risk without compromising the integrity of project goals or the individuals involved.
Eboné maintains a deep commitment to advancing creative initiatives at the intersection of the arts, culture and social justice, both domestically and abroad. In addition to her pro bono work with social impact startups, she is a Senior Fellow and Member of the American Planning Board of Humanity in Action and a Member of the Board of Directors of Mawuni. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Brandeis University and her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law where she served on the Fordham International Law Journal and was a recipient of the prestigious Leitner International Justice Fellowship.
